A New Year

A New Year, with new possibilities!

Here we are, another year starting. Happy 2015, everyone!

Let’s look at some of the ways things turned out in 2014:

  • I started this website, signing with WordPress after having my initial domain with VistaPrint for a couple of years. I felt, while the first one did okay for a start, I must allow my web presence to evolve along with my writing skills and knowledge.
  • I enhanced my blog, johntmherres.wordpress.com to try to make it look more professional. It probably needs more work. I know I’ve said it before, and will undoubtedly say it many more times, progress not perfection. I learned a long time ago that I don’t do anything perfect. Darn it.
  • I recently made a new blog. I figured since the current one dealt with things Barbarian related, it might benefit if I made another for the protagonist of my Science Fiction work, too. (I will post the link here, as soon as I re-figure out how to log into it.)
  • It appears my memory has not improved. I’m hoping it isn’t deteriorating, either. I like to say I have a “Swiss Cheese Memory.” The important stuff has the ability to fly through all the holes, barely touching the solid areas. The mundane, unimportant stuff splats all over the place, unable to find a hole to go through, it seems.
  • I have just investigated, having received notification of a new person this morning by email, that I have 11 -count them: eleven- subscribers to my website. I have gotten 36 comments on my Barbarian blog, but about half are my responses to those kind enough to place a comment. They might not be a bunch, but I believe it is better than none at all.

These may not be the only things going on, but for the sake of brevity, I shall call this post complete. For now.

So, I would like to know: How did things pan out for you in the last year? What are your plans for using the New Year to your advantage and growing in your personal endeavors?

Leave me a comment: I give you my word I will respond if you do!

Until next time!

— John
